Comprehensive Diagnostic and Ambulatory Surgery Center

— Design Brief —

The Eye Center of Central Georgia medical facility was built in 1965. The size of the building, nearly 17,000 square feet and the nature of the practice, required the re-design of spaces and updates to be completed in phases.
Suzanne M Rogers Interiors was hired to re-design the original public and patient restrooms for the first phase of renovation. The restrooms were gutted and re-designed to meet current ADA compliant codes. In order to be cost effective, Suzanne custom designed vanities using remnants of granite for the counters and iron pipe supports to accommodate wheelchairs. Suzanne M Rogers Interiors was responsible for specifying all finishes—tile, granite, paint—partitions, plumbing, and furnishings.
The second and third phases included all new flooring throughout the building. This involved replacing worn carpeting and installing LVT flooring in the reception and waiting areas; carpeting in all the exam and auxiliary rooms; and carpeting in the physicians’ offices. Custom seating, which included bariatric accommodations, tables, and LED lighting was the third phase of the project. The work continues – the next phase will involve wall coverings, paint, reception, window coverings, and additional furnishings.
